Barry: Lead Dev
Posty: UI Designer/Front End
Blanco: Head of Marketing
Team, what developments have you been working on this past week? Have you guys accomplished anything that you are particularly pleased about?
Barry: We released the Alpha version and proceeded to monitor the infrastructure for any breaks. Mostly on standby mode, not much on the development side to be honest.
Posty: Amazing week, a lot of interesting developments going around the community as well. Again, Combot and the weekly prizes really helped boost activities in the main Telegram group chat.
Tried the Unibot ads which we found quite interesting. We saw there’s an overlap between our target users and their main audience, Uniswap traders. Hard to calculate the ROI in terms of dollars as we are not selling anything directly. But we gained some new app users and group members from the ads.
We launched the alpha version of the app on the 9th of October and are very pleased with the results! The app quickly gained 272 new users during the launch. 37.3% returned to use the app the next day. It’s not really a big number, but that’s enough for us to get sufficient feedback to move forward.
Blanco: This has been the most intense week so far! Barry and Posty did an amazing job spearheading the team towards a fantastic launch: Getting all hands on deck to launch the Alpha version of the Swapfolio app was definitely a great team-building experience (even if we all are spread out all across the globe). I am very pleased with the public response, not just in terms of the number of users, but also on the amount of feedback we have received, and on the work that is to be implemented on the next product cycle.
Did you guys hit any roadblocks? What were your challenges this past week, if any?
Barry: So far, all seems well. The implemented features are stable and are performing as intended.
Posty: The recent CoinBreeder (BREE) rug-pull really got us thinking about how impossible it is for us to claim that we can prevent 100% of all scam tokens from being listed on our app. We think it is best for us to re-evaluate our filtering and screening process to come up with a listing disclaimer, which you can read in full here. Swapfolio Disclaimer
With that being said, we would like to invite our community members to help us fight scams and fake tokens on Uniswap. In the future, you will be able to report and flag fishy or scam tokens in the app. Together, we can help make Uniswap a safer, decentralized, trading platform.
Blanco: Some of the marketing assets we have been working on were not ready on time. So we’ve learned a great lesson, we need to make sure that going forward we allocate plenty of time to answer media requests.
Any new information regarding the team this past week? New team members? Birthdays? Plans for expansion?
Barry: Dev team was given the weekend off (after all their hard work) – meaning that we’ll be doing the monitoring and some light reading/research on potential implementation strategies for the backlogs. As for me, I am prepping the references and resources (Yellow-paper) for the dev teams to refer to for our Beta plans.
Posty: One latest addition to our editorial and Wiki contributor team, Austin Reihl! I think most of you already noticed Austin, the new moderator in the main chat group.
Anything else interesting you guys would like to share? Any teasers? *
Barry: Still opening the Google Forms user-review submissions. Please fill out and submit your feedback so that we can consider them in the Beta roadmap.
Posty: In case you haven’t noticed, we launched a feedback program together, with the app, last Friday. We will select 1 lucky participant to win 5,000 SWFL! Don’t miss this great opportunity, try the app now and submit your honest feedback here. Team members are all excluded, as always. Remember, be critical. We always welcome negative review and criticism. Equal chance to win the random lucky draw too!
